Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and RONDO TROUBLE was disqualified by the Stewards.

A false start was declared at the first attempt when PHANTOM SPUR lay inwards as the tapes were released and contacted FASTAR which was hampered. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

Broke again checking a trailing runner near the 1750m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
